General Obligation Bond Issue For City Neighborhoods, Infrastructure And Resiliency
To improve the City’s neighborhoods, infrastructure and resiliency, including citywide traffic calming, neighborhood signage, rights-of-way landscaping, decorative sound walls, tidal flooding mitigation, and the undergrounding of north beach utility lines, shall the City be authorized to issue General Obligation Bonds, from time to time, not exceeding $23,000,000 in aggregate principal amount, payable from ad valorem taxes bearing interest not exceeding the maximum legal interest rate, and maturing no later than 25 years from issuance?

General Obligation Bond Issue For City Police and Fire Public Safety Facilities, Technology and Equipment
To improve the City’s police and fire facilities and equipment, including construction of a new police headquarters and parking garage and the purchase of fire apparatus for suppression and rescue, shall the City be authorized to issue general obligation bonds, from time to time, not exceeding $78,000,000 in aggregate principal amount, payable from ad valorem taxes, bearing interest not exceeding the maximum legal interest rate, and maturing no later than 25 years from issuance date?

To improve parks, open space, golf, recreational and cultural facilities, including renovating playgrounds, sports fields, Art and Culture Center, and Orangebrook and Hollywood Beach Golf Courses, and acquire Sunset property, shall the City be authorized to issue General Obligation Bonds, from time to time, not exceeding $64,000,000 in aggregate principal amount, payable from ad valorem taxes bearing interest not exceeding the maximum legal interest rate, and maturing no later than 25 years from issuance date?

This referendum would approve the sale by the City of Hollywood of a timeshare unit known as Unit 20, Week 31, in Hollywood Sands Resort located at 2404 North Surf Road. This property was acquired in 2015 but is not being used by the City. Under the City Charter, the City cannot proceed with the sale of this beachfront property unless and until it is approved at a referendum.
