EMERALD HILLS SAFETY ENHANCEMENT DISTRICT BOARD APPOINTMENT 

The City of Hollywood has created an Emerald Hills Safety Enhancement District, which is comprised of a five member Board of Supervisors.  The City is seeking interested applicants to serve voluntarily on this board.  The application deadline is 10:00 AM on Monday, November 6, 2017 for appointments being made by the City Commission at the November 15, 2017 Commission meeting starting at 1:00 PM.  To be considered for an appointment, applicant must be a property owner within the District.  In the event a property owner is a corporation or a limited liability company, the applicant shall be an officer of the corporation or member or manager of the limited liability company.

The boundaries of the District are: North Hills Drive from N 56th Avenue east to Sarazen Drive.  Sarazen Drive north to North 41st Street.  North 41st Street west to North 48th Avenue.  North 48th Avenue west to North 46th Avenue.  North 46th Avenue south to waterways, and then west on the waterways to North 56th Avenue.  North 56th Avenue north to North Hills Drive. Once appointed to serve, the applicant will be required to file the Statement of Financial Interest Disclosure Form 1, as required by Florida Statute 112.314(1)(a).

2017 Board Appointments

The City of Hollywood is seeking applicants to serve on various Boards and Committees on a voluntary basis. Appointments will be made on May 22, 2017 at 3:00 PM by the City Commission.

To be considered for any appointment, applicants must comply with specific requirements for each board/committee. The application deadline is Thursday, April 20, 2017. Applications submitted after the deadline will be held for next year (May 2018) appointments.

 You can apply online using the electronic Boards & Committees Application form or complete the printable application and mail it in.  All completed interest forms must have a resume attached and be returned to the Office of the City Clerk at Hollywood City Hall, 2600 Hollywood Boulevard, Room 221.

Applications are considered active for one year.

  • Board and Committee meetings may require day or evening attendance. By accepting appointment to a Board or Committee, you are affirming your ability to attend meetings as scheduled.
  • Carefully read the handbook for the opening you are applying for. Some positions require City of Hollywood residency. Once received, all application materials become the property of the City of Hollywood.
  • The Board and Committee members serve on a voluntary basis. Annual appointments are done at a Special Commission meeting in May of each year.

Note: To be considered for any appointment, applicants must complete an interest form. Additionally, a resume must be submitted to the Office of the City Clerk.


Financial Disclosure Form


A yearly Financial Disclosure Form as well as quarterly Gift Disclosure Forms must be filed once a board member has been appointed to one of the following boards:

  • Employees’ Retirement Plan Board
  • Firefighters’ Pension Board
  • Historic Preservation Board
  • Planning and Development Board
  • Police Officers’ Pension Board
