The City of Hollywood offers generous benefits packages depending upon applicable employment classifications and employment status. For specific information on the benefits received, please refer to the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Most benefit packages for full-time employees include the following:-

4-Day Work Week

The City offers a compressed work week allowing employees flexibility and the ability to maintain adequate work/life balance with either a long weekend or additional off-day to tend to family/personal needs.

Vacation

Eligible employees earn vacation time per year. The amount earned is dependent on the employee’s years of service, classification, and the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Sick Leave

Eligible employees accumulate 12 days of sick leave per year. Eligibility to accrue sick leave begins with the first day of work, and there is no limit on the amount of sick leave that may be accumulated.

Sick Leave Pool Program

Employees may participate in the City's Sick Leave Pool Program upon the completion of one year of employment and with a minimum accumulation of ninety-six (96) hours of sick and/or vacation leave. This program entitles eligible employees to participate in extended sick leave benefits for cases involving non-work-related catastrophic, or long-term illnesses, or injuries.
