Requesting A Lien Search
Accrued interest charges on liens and lien fees that are required to be paid in order to have the liens removed from the public records of Broward County, will also be reported on the Lien Search Report form that the City prepares.
Lien search and certification fees are currently as follows:
- $125 for Standard Service (5 - 7 business days)
- $195 for Expedited Service (1 - 2 business days)
A separate lien search request form is required for each parcel and must include the property identification number, the property address and the owner of record. The property identification number is also known as the folio or parcel number.
If you do not know the property identification number for a property, you can go to the Broward County Appraiser website and conduct a Property Search by either the owner name or property address. Once the page for the property is accessed, you will find the property identification number located in the top right hand corner of the page (it is shown as "ID #").
