The City of Hollywood Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts is pleased to provide a wide variety of summer camp options for children that are fun-filled in a safe, secure and loving environment.
Registration for Summer Camps begins in February/March
Jr. Beach Lifeguard Camp
This camp is designed to provide children 8 - 17 years of age with an introduction to ocean and beach safety, lifesaving techniques and procedures, rescue board and ocean kayak skills, ecology, first aid and competition in ocean lifeguard events. Applicants must pass a basic swim ability test to participate.
M.O.S.T. (Maximizing Out of School Time) Camps
Daily academics by certified teachers, reading and literacy activities with science, math and cultural arts enrichment keep children engaged in learning. Fees are determined by income.
S.E.A. (Science, Education & Adventure) Camp
A classroom without walls focusing on marine life and natural sciences. Camp includes marine biology, oceanography, water safety and ecology.
These new camps provide an ideal environment to explore STEM topics of choosing without fear of academic failure, and can gain an appreciation for the relevance of STEM in daily lives. VIDEO: See Summer Camps Offered in Hollywood
