Hollywood is partnering again with Broward STEM and Renüable composting company to bring a fun, free, family-friendly event to our area as part of Food Waste Prevention Week. Donuts to Suds is happening at LauderAle Brewery in Fort Laurderdale, situated near the airport and Port Everglades. LauderAle is collecting old donuts from the Bake Shack in Dania Beach. Sugars from the donuts are feeding the brewing process to produce a unique ale that will be debuted at this event. Broward County Commissioner Beam Furr will issue a proclamation, kicking off the festivities. There will be demos on plant propagation and composting, food waste trivia, and prizes. In addition to the brewery offerings, there will be nonalcoholic beverages, such as juices, and a food truck on site. So there will be something for everyone.
