Johnson Street will be closed just east of US 441/SR7 in Hollywood from Friday, March 31st at 9:00 p.m. through Monday, April 3rd at 6:00 a.m. pending inclement weather or unforeseen conditions. Access to business and residents on Johnson Street west of NW 59th Avenue will be maintained. There will be no entrance into the district heading east from SR7. The necessary closure is part of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) SR7 Improvement Project currently underway from SW 25 Street to Fillmore Street.
Traffic will be detoured around the construction site via NW 56th Avenue to Hollywood Boulevard or Taft Street to SR7. Motorists should seek an alternate route during the construction period to avoid delays.
To be personally notified when Johnson Street has re-opened to traffic or for more information about this project, please call FDOT Broward Operations Public Information Officer Casey Liening at 561-402-1095 or via email at cliening@corradino.com.
