[ARCHIVED] Traffic Alert: Johnson Street and Taft Street Planned Closures

Traffic Alert

The following Traffic Advisories have been issued by the Florida Department of Transportation:

Taft Street Closure at SR7: August 3 through August 6
The Florida Department of Transportation to close Taft Street at State Road 7 for roadway reconstruction Friday, August 3rd at 9:00 p.m. The intersection will remain closed through Monday, August 6th at 5:00 a.m. Motorists will be detoured to N 64 Avenue, Johnson Street, N 56 Avenue and Sheridan Street.

Taft Street will remain open to local traffic only from NW 56 Avenue to SR 7 and from SR 7 to NW 64 Avenue. For more information about this project, please contact Rebecca Guerrero at 954.940.7605 or via email at rguerrero@corradino.com.

Johnson Street Closure: August 3 through August 7
The Florida Department of Transportation to close Johnson Street to vehicular traffic to allow for railway grade crossing renovations to the South Florida Rail Corridor (SFRC) just west I-95. Johnson Street will be closed Friday, August 3rd at 9:00 a.m. through Tuesday, August 7th at 9:00 p.m. while workers perform the necessary repairs to the rail corridor. Detour information is as follows:

Eastbound traffic on Johnson Street will be directed north to Taft Street via N. Park Road to N. 26th Avenue. Traffic will then turn right and drive south on N. 26th Avenue back to Johnson Street. Traffic going westbound on Johnson Street will be directed north to Taft Street via N. 26th Avenue, then west to N. Park Road. Traffic will turn left and drive south on N. Park Road back to Johnson Street.
