Hollywood Remains under a Tropical Storm Warning  

According to the National Hurricane Center, since Isaias has not shown any signs of re-organizing overnight, the window of opportunity for it to re-strengthen is closing.  Hurricane warnings have been lifted for the east coast of Florida, but Tropical Storm Warnings remain in place.  City of Hollywood Emergency Management staff and public safety personnel are monitoring the track and development of Tropical Storm Isaias and are assessing any impacts from the storm. Residents are urged to use caution when venturing out even thought storm impacts are expected to be minimal.  

Parks, Swimming Pools and Recreational Facilities

All youth sports activities  and aquatic activities are suspended for Sunday due to Hurricane Isaias.  Additionally all parks, including dog parks, are closed. 

Sun Shuttle by Circuit Ride Service Suspended

The Sun Shuttle Micro-transit service that provides free rides around Downtown Hollywood and Hollywood Beach remains suspended.

Residents can visit www.hollywoodfl.org/emergency for hurricane information.

All State-Supported Testing Sites Are Temporarily Closed due to Tropical Storm Isaias

Testing Sites in Hollywood Are Closed

All state-supported drive-thru and walk-up COVID-19 testing sites are temporarily closed in anticipation of impacts from Hurricane Isaias.

The sites will remain closed until they are safe to reopen, with all sites anticipated to be reopened at the latest by 8 a.m., Wednesday, August 5.

Free COVID-19 testing remains available through local County Health Departments. Please call in advance for testing through County Health Department, contact information for all counties is available here.

Testing site re-openings will be posted on  Florida Division of Emergency Management’s social media. The Facebook page is available here and the Twitter page is available here.

While sites are closed, individuals are encouraged to follow all guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the recent Public Health Advisory issued by the Florida Department of Health.
