- Sanitation Collection Services Suspended on Monday, November 9th

The Tropical Storm Warning has been discontinued for all of the Florida peninsula, however a coastal flood advisory remains in effect. Flood waters will continue to recede as Eta continues to move away from our area. Please avoid the following roadways in the City due to extensive flooding caused by Tropical Storm Eta:

- Johnson Street from 64 Ave to 72 Ave
- Taft Street from 64 Ave to 70 Ave
- Sheridan Street from 64 Ave to 66 Ave
- Fillmore Street to 72 Ave
- All areas east of 13 Ave between Washington Street and Harrison Street
Please avoid these and any other roadways where there is standing water as your vehicle may become stranded. Residents should also avoid wading in standing water as it may contain unknown hazards. It is recommended that residents remain indoors and refrain from any unnecessary travel.

Sanitation Collection Services Suspended on Monday, November 9th

All solid waste services have been cancelled for Monday, November 9th. Garbage, Recycling, and Yard Waste collections will resume on a normal collection schedule on Tuesday. For those with a monthly bulk collection in the "2nd Monday of the Month" zone, your bulk will now be collected on Monday, November 30th.

Parking Fees Waived for Hollywood Residents at City-Operated Garages

Parking fees have been waived for Hollywood residents on a first come, first served basis at all City-operated parking garages from noon on Sunday, November 8th until noon on Tuesday, November 10th. Residents are required to provide identification with a Hollywood address to staff upon entry to a City-operated garage to qualify for the 48 hour parking fee waiver. All vehicles must be properly parked in a marked parking space. Regular parking fees will resume at noon on Tuesday, November 10th. Residents will need to remove their vehicles by this time in order to avoid incurring standard parking rate charges. No exceptions.

Motorists are reminded to use caution, avoid traveling on flooded streets and to not drive around barricades. Health officials are also reminding the public to avoid wading through standing water and to prohibit children from play in flooded streets.

Staff has completed Rapid Impact Assessments and crews and equipment are being deployed to assist with recovery efforts.

Residents should stay informed with trusted news providers like the National Weather Service Miami and the National Hurricane Center.
