Free Gardening ClassSaturday, March 7 Join your neighbors to learn how to grow your own fruits and vegetables. Classes take place on the first and last Saturday of each month through September. The next classes will take place Saturday, March 7th at 10 a.m. at the Oak Lake Park Community Garden, 3190 N 56th Avenue in west Hollywood.

Low Cost Rabies Clinic for Cats and DogsSaturday, March 7 Broward County Animal Care and Adoption will host a low-cost Rabies Clinic events on Saturday, March 7th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Brian Piccolo Park, 9501 Sheridan Street in Cooper City. The cost for a one-year rabies vaccination and Broward County Pet Registration Tag is: $25 if your pet is spayed or neutered or $35 if your pet is not spayed or neutered. Free microchips, which includes free registration, will also be available. A microchip is a permanent form of identification. Once the chip is registered, pets are safeguarded in case they become lost or stolen. If your pet has already received a current rabies vaccination and license tag, please bring a COPY of the Rabies Certificate with you to the event to receive the free microchip. You must be a Broward County resident to attend. No appointment necessary. First-come, first-served. Dogs must be on a leash and all cats must be in carriers. No cash or checks please; only debit and credit cards will be accepted. More information.

Pollinator Gardening WorkshopSaturday, March 7 The City of Hollywood and City of Hallandale Beach are hosting a free Pollinator Gardening Workshop on Saturday, March 7th from 10:00 a.m. to noon. The goal of the workshop is to teach residents how to: • Create landscapes that conserve water • Reduce pollution • Create habitat for pollinators Participants will receive native pollinator plants suitable for containers. Hollywood ArtsPark Experience: Marco BeneventoSaturday, March 7 Enjoy a free concert featuring Marco Benevento, dubbed “one of the most talented keys players of our time” by CBS Radio. Art at David Park Wednesday, March 11 Kids and teens can enjoy arts & crafts activities led by volunteers from South Broward High School's Honors Art Class. Art at David Park takes place on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday each month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m at David Park Community Center, 108 N 33rd Court. Hollywood Happy DayMonday, March 16 As a way to promote positivity in the City of Hollywood, the Hollywood Youth Ambassadors will host the 3rd "Hollywood Happy Day" event at the ArtsPark at Young Circle in Downtown Hollywood on Monday, March 16th from 6 – 8 p.m. "Hollywood Happy Day” is an opportunity for the community to come out and enjoy expressions of thankfulness, friendship, and kindness in a public setting through inspirational performances by our youth. Hollywood Chief of Police Chris O'Brien will be on-hand to offer a few words of encouragement followed by performances including singers, dancers, rappers and spoken word performances. The event culminates with a moment of silence to remember the victims of the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas tragedy.
