Request for Donations of N95 respirator protective devicesDue to the COVID-19 pandemic, the World Health Organization has declared a global shortage of N95 respirator protective devices, which are typically used by first responders and those in healthcare industry to filter airborne particles. N95 masks are considered an essential tool in the healthcare industry as they block almost 95% of all microbes. These masks are often used by dentists, ophthalmologists and construction workers on job sites. Vice President Mike Pence has requested construction companies who may have a stockpile of masks to consider donating them to help protect our healthcare workers. To learn how you can donate your supply of N95 masks, please email Lissette Dominguez in the City of Hollywood’s Development Services Division or call 954.921.3335 ext. 6610.
