We Are Here For Your Hollywood Business

The City of Hollywood’s Office of Communications, Marketing and Economic Development is compiling information to assist businesses throughout the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic. We have also begun to assess programming that could help you learn to develop and/or grow your business in Hollywood through City and partner programs. Our team is available to talk you through any of your business-related issues. Contact us at 954.921.3620 or by email.

Make Hollywood Count

Take the Census Today

10 minutes is all it takes!

National Self-Response Rate: 44.5%
Florida's Self-Response Rate: 43.0%
Hollywood's Self-Response Rate: 39.1%

While we all continue to do our part to help stop the spread of COVID-19 by staying at home, all are encouraged to participate in the United States Census. Visit www.my2020census.gov and click "Start Questionnaire." If you don’t have your 12-digit Census ID number, you can still participate by entering your address. Completing the entire Census takes only about ten minutes.

It is important that you participate, as the amount of federal funding the City, County and State gets for infrastructure improvements, schools, hospitals and disaster recovery is tied to the community's census data. An accurate count of all Hollywood residents will help to ensure we receive our fair share of funding over the next 10 years. Help Hollywood beat the state and national self- response rate average by completing your questionnaire today.

If you are unable to respond online, need help or would like to request a paper questionnaire, please call toll-free 1.844.330.2020. Census workers will be deployed beginning April 27th to homes who have yet to participate.

PPP Loan Forgiveness

Paycheck Protection Program

This new loan program will help with payroll and other business operating expenses, and the SBA will forgive the portion of the loan proceeds that are used to cover the first eight weeks of payroll costs, rent, utilities, and mortgage interest. It will be available retroactive from Feb. 15, 2020, so employers can rehire their recently laid-off employees through June 30, 2020. We advise Hollywood businesses to monitor the SBA website for updates on this program.
