Open Your Taps to Flush Your Pipes
The City of Hollywood Public Utilities Department recommends that businesses open their water taps to flush pipes prior to consumption. Buildings that have been closed up have seen a reduction in water use, which could cause stagnant water to settle in the plumbing. Follow U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and American Water Works Association (AWWA) recommendations for protecting water quality for your employees by flushing systems thoroughly prior to use. For more information, please visit the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency website.
