Coming Soon: Micro-Enterprise Small Business Assistance Program

Pre-Application Window Closing For City Grants


Qualifying businesses should submit the online form and required documents before the first round of pre-application review ends. 

As part of the City of Hollywood's "Backing Business" initiative, the Micro-Enterprise Small Business Assistance Program will grant eligible businesses with funds of up to $5,000 to pay for up to three months of allowable business expenses.

In order to complete a pre-application, businesses must:

  • Be a “for-profit” enterprise operating legally in the City of Hollywood *Not-for-profit organizations and home-based businesses are not eligible to participate in the Program*
  • Be legally operating for at least 2 years and in good standing with the City, without outstanding property code enforcement issues
  • Have no more than 5 employees (full-time, part-time, including owners)
  • Be within a critically impacted business sector
  • Be located within the City's LMI boundaries *Enter your business address into our interactive map to verify if your business address falls within the pink shaded areas*
  • Upload a photo or copy of State of Florida Business License (if applicable) and City of Hollywood Local Business Tax Receipt *You may request a copy from Financial Services*

Free Masks & Facial Shields

Free Masks and Facial Shields For Businesses


As part of the City of Hollywood's "Backing Business" initiative, free masks and facial shields are now available for pick-up, while supplies last. Each Hollywood business may pick up a maximum of (20) masks and (10) facial shields in Room #203, City Hall, 2600 Hollywood Blvd, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

These COVID-19 supplies are also available from the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) if your business is located within the CRA Beach or Downtown District.
Law Enforcement Trust Fund

Law Enforcement Trust Fund: Request for Funding


Understanding that the Law Enforcement Trust Fund (LETF) is vital to providing drug abuse education, drug prevention, crime prevention, safe neighborhood and school resource officer programs, the City of Hollywood Police Department is now accepting LETF Request for Funding applications.

Not-for-profit organizations interested in applying for grant funding must submit the completed application form by June 30 at 5PM. Learn more and download the funding application here.

SBA Paycheck Protection Program

Flexibility Act


The Small Business Administration (SBA) will issue rules and guidance, a modified borrower application form, and a modified loan forgiveness application implementing legislative amendments to the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).  These modifications will implement the following important changes:

  • Extend the covered period for loan forgiveness
  • Lower requirements of a borrower’s loan proceeds used for payroll costs
  • Provide a safe harbor from reductions in loan forgiveness based on reductions in full-time equivalent employees
  • Increase to 5 years the maturity of PPP loans that are approved by SBA
  • Extend the deferral period for borrower payments of principal, interest, and fees on PPP loans
  • June 30, 2020, remains the last date on which a PPP loan application can be approved

Free COVID-19 Walk-Up Testing Site in West Hollywood


Florida Department of Health in Broward County, in partnership with the City of Hollywood, is hosting a free COVID-19 Walk-Up Testing Site at the Boulevard Heights Community Center, 6770 Garfield Street in West Hollywood from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the following days:

  • Wednesday, June 17

  • Thursday, June 18

  • Friday, June 19

  • Saturday, June 20

No appointment necessary. Those interested in securing a set day and time are encouraged to call 954.412.7300 to schedule an appointment. More information can be found on the City's website.

Temporary Café Zones

Temporary Café Zones


The purpose of the Temporary Café Zone expansion is to back the City’s restaurant businesses that have been heavily impacted by COVID-19 mitigation measures, and provide these businesses with the opportunity to expand their dining areas using outdoor spaces. This 30-day pilot program will run from now through Monday, June 22nd.

The use of Temporary Café Zones requires online registration, which includes submitting a registration form with supporting documents (indemnification form and proof of insurance), along with other requirements. There is no fee to register.
