As the City continues to reopen businesses, parks and recreational areas in Hollywood, we must all continue to take the necessary precautions to protect our safety and well-being. Please remain vigilant in following the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Florida Department of Health guidelines.

The number of COVID-19 cases are trending upwards in our area, therefore, compliance with these recommendations is critical as we transition from safer at home orders to reopening businesses. Temporary Beach Closure

July 3th - July 5th

The City of Hollywood has joined with Broward County and other coastal communities to temporarily close the sandy beach from 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 3rd until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, July 5.

The City will also be issuing an Emergency Order regarding the public use of the Broadwalk.

Businesses along the Broadwalk will remain open with existing restrictions related to facial coverings, capacity limitation, etc.

Drive-Thru Food Distribution

The City of Hollywood is partnering with Feeding South Florida and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for a Community Food Distribution on Tuesday, June 30th. People can pick up free fresh and frozen groceries in a drive-thru style distribution. Drivers will not need to exit their vehicles, the groceries will be placed in their trunks by volunteers.

DO NOT arrive early as the gates do not open until 7:30 a.m. For the safety of attendees and volunteers, absolutely no walk-ups will be accepted, only vehicles will be allowed entry.
