Broward County Now In Phase II of Reopening With Restrictions


Governor DeSantis has authorized Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach Counties to move into Phase II of recovery beginning today, Monday, September 14. SPARK Hollywood - Launch Event

SPARK – Hollywood FL Launch Event


The Chamber of Commerce along with our Office of Communications, Marketing and Economic Development are working to plan this year’s SPARK Hollywood events, designed to support and grow entrepreneurship in our City. The official launch event is now set for Thursday, September 17 from 2:45 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The SPARK Committee has teamed up with the new Center of Innovation created by Nova Southeastern University and Broward County at NSU. The launch event will be moderated by the Center’s Executive Director, John Wensveen, who has put together an exciting panel of inspiring entrepreneurs including:
  • David Ponraj, Founder and CEO of StartUp Space, a 24/7 platform that connects entrepreneurs with each other and with the local resources they to get their ideas off the ground.
  • Andrew Koenig, President of City Furniture - Andrew has helped City Furniture continue to adapt its business model and pioneer new trends in retail that have helped fuel statewide growth of the company.
   • Manish Hirapara, CEO of Peak Activity, which provides an integrated suite of services to startups and established businesses to help them maximize their success.

SBA Reopens EIDL Application Portal

EIDL Application Portal Is Open


The Small Business Administration (SBA) has reopened the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) and EIDL Advance program portal to all eligible applicants experiencing economic impacts due to COVID-19.

This advance of up to $10K may be available to small business owners and non-profits, and will be forgiven. Please complete the online EIDL application as soon as possible if you wish to apply for the EIDL program or EIDL advance.
