Open Your Taps to Flush Your Pipes

Open Your Taps to Flush Your Pipes

With businesses reopening as we move forward in the Phase 2 COVID-19 reopening plan, the City of Hollywood Public Utilities Department recommends that businesses open their water taps to flush pipes prior to consumption. Buildings that have been closed up have seen a reduction in water use, which could cause stagnant water to settle in the plumbing.

Follow EPA and AWWA recommendations for protecting water quality for your employees by flushing systems thoroughly prior to use.  For more information, please visit the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) website.
