CARES Act Small Business Assistance

Broward's Small Business Grant Application Portal Opens Monday, November 9th


Just over $1 million in federal CARES Act funding is available specifically for Hollywood small businesses through this program administered by the Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development.  Small businesses and non-profits with 20 employees or less and non-profits with 25 employees or less may receive grant awards in the amount of either $5,000, $10,000, or $15,000 to help mitigate the impacts of COVID-19. 

The application period opens Monday, November 9th and closes on Monday, November 16th. Free technical assistance will be available to CARES Act Grant applicants.

What your business should do now to prepare:

  • Verify your eligibility now at broward.org/cares
  • Review the list of required documentation
  • Watch the County's informational video (see link below)
  • Have all paperwork ready before the application portal opens on 11/9

SBA Reopens EIDL Application Portal

EIDL Application Portal Is Open


The Small Business Administration (SBA) has reopened the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) and EIDL Advance program portal to all eligible applicants experiencing economic impacts due to COVID-19.

This advance of up to $10K may be available to small business owners and non-profits, and will be forgiven. Please complete the online EIDL application as soon as possible if you wish to apply for the EIDL program or EIDL advance.
