Broward CARES Act Small Business Grant Program Update
Due to the grant application portal experiencing technical difficulties on 12/09/2020, Broward County has reopened the Small Business Assistance and Nonprofit Assistance Grant Portal. The portal will remain open until 11:59PM on Monday, December 14th to allow applicants additional time to apply.
Those who could not access the portal and others still interested in applying are urged to do right away. Do not wait until the last day or the final hours to apply. Apply here: Broward.org/Cares
Applications can be submitted daily from 6:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.
If you already submitted an application and were denied due to eligibility reasons, please visit Broward.org/Cares to find out if you now qualify. Changes were made to eligibility criteria in order to help more businesses, including:
- Home-based businesses now accepted
- Business revenue increase from $1.5M to $2M
- Prior funding from PPP, EIDL, and State of Florida Emergency Bridge Loan increased from $15K to $100K
If the online application for your business was previously deemed ineligible, but you are now eligible due to program eligibility changes, you may reapply at Broward.org/Cares by 12/14/20 at 11:59 p.m. A new Access Broward Account using a new email address will be required.
