Work Skills Training Scholarships Available

The City of Hollywood, in partnership with OIC of South Florida, is offering Work Skills Training Scholarships to eligible Hollywood residents. Each 11-week course provides FREE in-depth vocational training, preparing participants for entry-level positions in the selected career path.

CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS • Mon/Wed • 9am-1pm
Potential Positions & Salaries:
Helper (i.e., Painters and Paperhangers) - $39,150
Construction Laborer and Helper - $36,000
Plasterer and Stucco Mason - $31,340

WAREHOUSE LOGISTICS • Tue/Thu • 1pm-5pm
Potential Positions & Salaries:
Refuse & Recyclable Material Collector - $37,840
Hand Laborer and Material Mover - $27,710
Packer and Packager - $25,910

As this program advances work skills initiatives in the City’s low to moderate income (LMI) neighborhoods, there are residency and income restrictions for participation.

Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF)
Open For Applications


The Small Business Administration (SBA) is now accepting Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) applications via the application portal, which will remain open to any eligible establishment until all funds are exhausted. 

In preparation, qualifying applicants should familiarize themselves with the application process in advance to ensure a smooth and efficient application. In addition to registering at the portal, follow the steps below. If you are working with Square or Toast, you do not need to register.
  • Review the sample application, program guide and cross-program eligibility chart on SBA COVID-19 relief options. 
  • Applications must be submitted in English or Spanish. Documents are available in additional languages to help you understand eligibility requirements, fill out applications, and answer frequently asked questions. See the additional languages and materials here.
  • If you were unable to attend one of the webinars which covered program details and a demonstration of the application portal, you can watch the recording here.

This round of the PPP continues to prioritize millions of Americans employed by small businesses by authorizing up to $284 billion toward job retention and certain other expenses through March 31, 2021, and by allowing certain existing PPP borrowers to apply for a Second Draw PPP Loan.
