APPLY NOW: Small Business Relief Program

Apply by Sunday, August 29 for Hollywood Business Grant


The City of Hollywood is now accepting applications for its Small Business Relief Program. Eligible Hollywood businesses can receive grant funds up to $20,000 to pay for up to six months of the following allowable business expenses:

  • Salaries of current employees
  • Rent/mortgage
  • Utility payments

As part of the City of Hollywood's Backing Business initiative, this 4-module workshop series will take you through the basics of starting up a business. If you are willing to roll up your sleeves and work with the instructors, you'll come away with a good understanding of the specific challenges and opportunities you will face. You will have a financial plan, a marketing plan, and an estimation of the funding you will need to get started. Conducted by Broward SCORE and sponsored by the City of Hollywood.

Broward Commuter Rail Kick-Off Meetings

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Four and Broward County are performing a PD&E Study for the Broward Commuter Rail (BCR) along the Florida East Coast (FEC) Railway from Aventura in Miami-Dade County to Deerfield Beach in Broward County.

The objective of the BCR PD&E Study is to develop and analyze alternatives that integrate passenger and freight service along the FEC Railway. The purpose of the study is to address congestion issues by improving mobility while supporting economic policies, as well as land development policies, in eastern Broward County.

The public is encouraged to attend one of the virtual or in-person meetings to learn more about the study. Links to register your attendance, additional project and study details can be found here.
