January Operation Paintbrush Paint Distribution Event - ON HOLDThe supply of recycled paint for the January Operation Paintbrush event has yet to be secured from Broward County.
As you may already know, the paint that is distributed at Operation Paintbrush comes from paint that has been dropped off at a County collection site. Broward County residents who no longer have a need for their leftover paint drop it off with the County who then recycles it. Once recycled, the County distributes a portion of the supply to each participating municipality. The Operation Paintbrush Program relies solely on paint donations from residents. The January event is on hold as of right now due to the lack of the supply. For the latest event information, please check the City's main website event calendar.
About Operation Paintbrush: The Operation Paintbrush Program is a very popular initiative in Hollywood. Up to 20 gallons of recycled exterior latex paint is available, free of charge, to single-family homeowners. Paint is distributed on a first come, first served basis, while the supply lasts on distribution day. To participate, you must provide your current driver’s license with Hollywood address and a current utility bill as proof of Hollywood residency. Paint colors typically offered are off white, beige, terracotta, gray, and turquoise.
