February Operation Paintbrush Paint Distribution Event - CancelledThe City's supply of recycled paint for the February event has NOT been secured from Broward County. Due to the lack of supply, the February event has been cancelled. Please continue to check the event calendar on the home page of the City's website event calendar for the latest event information. As you may already know, the paint that is distributed at Operation Paintbrush comes from paint that has been dropped off at a County collection site. Broward County residents who no longer have a need for their leftover paint drop it off with the County who then recycles it. Once recycled, the County distributes a portion of the supply to each participating municipality. The Operation Paintbrush Program relies solely on paint donations from residents.
About Operation Paintbrush: The Operation Paintbrush Program is a very popular initiative in Hollywood. Up to 20 gallons of recycled exterior latex paint is available, free of charge, to single-family homeowners. Paint is distributed on a first come, first served basis, while the supply lasts on distribution day. To participate, you must provide your current driver’s license with Hollywood address and a current utility bill as proof of Hollywood residency. Paint colors typically offered are off white, beige, terracotta, gray, and turquoise.
