The electors of the City of Hollywood, Florida, are hereby notified that between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 there will be a General Municipal Election for the purpose of electing a Mayor and City Commissioners to Districts 1,2,3,4,5, and 6.  Each member will be elected to a four year term.

Qualifying papers can be picked up in the Office of the City Clerk starting on Friday, November 2, 2007.  The last date to return qualifying papers and appropriate payment drawn from your Campaign Account to the City Clerk’s Office is noon on Friday, November 16, 2007.

Absentee ballots for the City of Hollywood, Florida, General Municipal Election may be obtained from the Broward County Supervisor of Elections Office, 115 S. Andrews Avenue, Room 111, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301, or by calling 954-357-7055.  All absentee ballots must be returned no later than 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 29, 2008.

The aforesaid election, qualifying of candidates, voters registration and absentee ballots shall be conducted and handled in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida.
