1. What are the dates, times and location for City Commission meetings?: The City Commission meets the first and third Wednesday of each month, except in August and legal holidays. The meetings are held in the City Commission Chambers located at 2600 Hollywood Boulevard, Room 219, and they begin at 1 PM. Meeting dates are subject to change. The City observes the following legal holidays:
New Year’s Day - January 1st
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - the third Monday in January
President’s Day - the third Monday in February
Memorial Day - the last Monday in May
Independence Day - July 4th
Labor Day - the first Monday in September
Veteran’s Day - November 11th
Thanksgiving Day - the fourth Thursday in November
Day after Thanksgiving - the fourth Friday in November
Christmas Eve - December 24th
Christmas Day - December 25th

When are City Commission agendas, and packets posted on the website?: Generally, we post the Commission backup containing the agenda and other documents late on the Thursday afternoon prior to a Commission meeting. You can sign up to be notified when these documents are posted through the City's Notify Me email notification service. Alternatively, you may contact the Florida Office of Vital Statistics at 904-359-6900, ext. 9000 (http://www.floridahealth.gov/) for any Vital Record filed in Florida.

16. How do I get a marriage license?: Marriage licenses are issued by the Broward County Clerk of the Court. Their phone number is 954-712-7899 ext. 7842. Visit their website at http://www.clerk-17thflcourts.org/clerkwebsite/marriage/default.aspx for more information.

17. Where do I get a copy of a birth/death certificate?: Contact the Broward County Health Department if the person was born in Broward County, Florida. Their phone number is 954-467-4413. 18. How do I find out who owns a piece of property?: The Broward County Property Appraisers office information system can help. You will need to have at least one of the following pieces of information: property address, property owner or parcel ID number. 21. I've been assigned to perform community service. What do I do?: Contact the City of Hollywood’s Volunteer Program Coordinator for an appointment at 954-921-3020. The office is located at 1600 S. Park Road, 1st Floor.

27. Where can I get information on my home or place of business?: For current open building permits you must contact the Building Division at 954.921.3335. Older, closed permits and accompanying plans are filed with the Records and Archives Division.

28. Where can I get arrest and accident reports for events occurring in Hollywood?: The Hollywood Police Department handles records for accident and arrest events within the City limits. You may contact that office at 954.967.4480. Additionally you can request records online using the City's Police 2 Citizen (P2C) portal. Request Police Records
