CodeRED is a public emergency alert system used by the City of Hollywood and government agencies throughout the United States to notify residents through phone calls, e-mails and text messages to mobile phones or text pagers of an emergency in the community such as a hurricane watch or warning, flash flood warning, tornado warning, serious police situations, and other critical events.
