What to do after a fire

Florida law requires all fires to be reported. The Fire Department investigates the cause of fires with the goal of preventing future fires. A major concern is the crime of arson, if you have information about an arson fire/explosion please contact the Hollywood Police Department at (954) 967-HELP or the Division of Fire Prevention & Life Safety at (954) 967-4404. All information will be kept strictly confidential and you may be eligible for a reward.

A fire can be a very traumatic experience, to help lessen the effects of a fire we have produced a booklet “After the Fire” to assist you in recovering from a fire. Click here for a copy of “After the Fire” this is a PDF format and requires Acrobat Reader.
