Example" The Office of Human Resources and Risk Management is responsible for many employee related functions
including but not limited to the following:
- Labor relations, employee relations, partnerships with each department,
and administration of the five Collective Bargaining Agreements.
- Equal Opportunity focusing on workforce diversity as well as resolution of EEO complaints.
- Employment, classification and compensation activities
including recruitment, testing, and selection.
- Staff support to the Civil Service Board and oversight of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations.
- Educational and skills training for City employees, coordination
of employee life programs, service
award presentations, and facilitation the City Manager's Organizational Change
initiatives.
- Administration of the City’s self-insurance plan for employee health and dental benefits, workers’ compensation,
liability, loss control and safety programs.
