Welcome to the City of Hollywood’s Office of Human Resources and Risk Management website.

In support of our City’s Mission Statement, this Office provides quality municipal service through the recruitment, selection and support of a talented and goal-driven workforce. We are proudly aligned with the City’s Strategic Plan and, therefore, focus on enhancements and efficiencies in communication, cost containment, customer service, diversity, economic development, employee development, employee recognition, global and healthy Hollywood, and revenue enhancement. The Office of Human Resources and Risk Management is responsible for many employee related functions including but not limited to the following:

  • Labor relations, employee relations, partnerships with each department, and administration of the five Collective Bargaining Agreements.
  • Equal Opportunity focusing on workforce diversity as well as resolution of EEO complaints.
  • Employment, classification and compensation activities including recruitment, testing, and selection.
  • Staff support to the Civil Service Board and oversight of  the Civil Service Rules and Regulations.
  • Educational and skills training for City employees, coordination of employee life programs, service award presentations, and facilitation the City Manager's  Organizational Change initiatives.
  • Administration of the City’s self-insurance plan for employee health and dental benefits, workers’ compensation, liability, loss control and safety programs.
