The City of Hollywood will hold its first audition for its new Buskers (street performers) and
Vendors program on Monday, May 19 at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the Adams Rehearsal Hall in the Visual
Arts Pavilion at the ArtsPark, located at Hollywood Boulevard and Federal Highway.
Recently, the Hollywood City Commission amended ordinances to allow buskers or street performers
to entertain ArtsPark visitors and to receive tips and gratuities for their efforts. Vendors of
high quality, hand-crafted art are also welcome to apply for a permit to sell at the ArtsPark at Young Circle.
Talented buskers – including musicians, magicians, dancers, puppeteers, jugglers, singers, storytellers,
comics, clowns, balloon sculptors, caricaturists, and more - are encouraged to audition. Interested buskers
should complete the permit application form in advance. Click

the Busker Permit Package. Applications are also available at the ArtsPark.
In addition to two or three buskers performing from late afternoon into evening most days, the ArtsPark
will host up to 10 vendors selling art with one or two offering snacks, beverages, and ArtsPark
essentials like sun screen, batteries, and photography accessories.
Potential vendors can obtain more information, including an
application, by downloading the Vendor application. Click

Rapidly becoming a magnet for entertainment seekers in South Broward County, the buskers will provide
another level of activity at the ArtsPark already well-known for its beauty, imaginative children’s
playground, art and fitness classes, and three working studios, including sculpturing, jewelry making,
and glass blowing.
The ArtsPark at Young Circle is a 10-acre park located at the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and
Federal Highway (U.S. Route 1) in historic Downtown Hollywood. It offers residents and visitors a
wide array of visual and performing arts themed educational, recreational, and entertainment activities
for all ages. Funding for the ArtsPark at Young Circle was funded in part by the City of Hollywood and
Broward County through the Broward Country Board of County Commissioners with proceeds from the 2000 Broward
County Safe Parks and Land Preservation Bond Issue. For more information about the ArtsPark and its
