The City of Hollywood has established certain sections of the beach and Broadwalk as "Fun Zone" areas.  The activities, described below are available for public enjoyment.

Beach Games
Beach Games (ball, frizbee) are allowed on the beach between Sherman Street and Simms Street, as well as between Greene Street and Custer Street. Soft material toys (Nurf) are allowed in all beach areas.

Beach Volleyball

Volleyball is allowed in the Beach Games area and the beach behind the Oceanwalk Resort.

Surfing

Surfing is allowed between Georgia Street and Azalea Terrace, as well as between Mead Street and Franklin Street.

During time of inclement weather when swimmers are not utilizing the beach, the Beach Safety Supervisor may open or "Black Flag" additional areas for surfing, requiring the use of an ankle leash.

Boat Launching

Non-motorized boats may be launched between Custer Street and Meade Street. Sail boards may be launched from this area as well.

Fishing

Surf fishing is allowed from 6:00 PM - 8:00 AM (non-guarded hours).  Allowed at all times along the Hollywood owned beach adjacent and North of Dania Pier.

Bicycling

Allowed with in the Broadwalk bicycle path, April 16 to November 15 (sunrise to sunset) and November 16 to April 15 (sunrise to 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM to sunset).

Roller Blading/Skating

Allowed North of Garfield Street on the Broadwalk, April 16 to November 15 (at all times), November 16 to April 15 (prior to 10:00 AM and after 4:00 PM)
