Our Mission

It is the mission of the Beach Safety Division to provide a safe environment for thousands of people who utilize Hollywood Beach every year.  This mission will be accomplished by maintaining a staff of highly trained professional lifeguards who are in top physical condition and possess great skill in medical lifesaving techniques.  In addition, the division will emphasize teaching the public about the ocean environment through public education, lifesaving seminars, the Jr. Lifeguard Program and this web site.

We will also showcase Hollywood Beach and our profession by hosting and participating in special events and lifesaving competitions.  We strive to be recognized as a leader in lifesaving throughout the country and we have made a commitment to excel in our profession and provide excellent service for all individuals who recreate along the 4.5 miles of Hollywood Beach.
