Pursuant to Chapter 161.07 (G) of the City of Hollywood Code of
Ordinances, all residential developments are subject to dedicate to
the City, land to be used for parks, passive open space or
recreational purposes, OR pay a fee in lieu thereof, to meet the
needs created by their development and use of lands. Land subject to
the requirements of this subsection containing existing residential
development, all or part of shall be exempted by way of credits
allowed for the existing residential development. The amount of such
credits shall be calculated according to the formulas set forth in
the Ordinance. For purposes of this subsection, "existing
residential development" shall be construed to include vacant
structures and previous residential development demolished no
earlier than eighteen (18) months prior to the date of submittal of
the application for plat, subdivision or site plan approval. It is
the City’s option to accept either cash or land. Note: The City
generally does not accept land in parcels smaller than one (1) acre.
