Due to the suspension of Commissioner Keith Wasserstrom from public
office by Governor Jeb Bush, a vacancy was created in District 4.
On October 18, 2006 the City Commission passed Resolution R-2006-349 to
hold a Special Municipal Election for the purpose of electing a
District 4 City Commissioner to office until the occurrence of the
earlier of (i) the Governor's restoring Keith Wasserstrom to office
and (ii) expiration of the current term of office for City
Commissioner of District 4 in March 2008.
Any person seeking election may qualify with the City Clerk.
Candidate qualifying begins at noon on Wednesday, January 3, 2007
and ends at noon on Tuesday, January 9, 2007.
