General Election Information:
The Office of the City Clerk administers the city
elections. The Mayor and six Commissioners are elected officials of the City of Hollywood. The Mayor is elected
at large and the City Commissioners are elected from each of the six districts. They serve for a four year
consecutive term.
The election is held on the last Tuesday in January. The candidate for the Mayor and
Commissioner receiving the greatest number of votes cast for that seat, shall be declared
elected. The next scheduled municipal election will coincide with the General Election
in November 2012.
Elections:
The City Clerk's Office administers the city elections and accepts candidate filings. The Mayor
and Commission serve for a four year consecutive term.
