Guidelines:

  • Maximum of 4 cubic yards of commingled material per monthly pickup. Piles in excess of 4 cubic yards will not be removed until payment arrangements are made for the oversized portion. Call 954-967-4200 for more information.
  • Do not combine piles of commingled materials with your neighbors' piles.
  • Commingled material cannot be put out earlier than the Friday before the scheduled week of collection and no later than 7 a.m. on the Monday of your
    collection week. You may be subject to fines if commingled material is set out early.
  • No hazardous materials are accepted (paint, tires, used oil, chemicals, propane gas tanks, or any automotive/boat components).
  • No construction materials are accepted (dry wall, cinder block, brick, floor tile, bathroom tile, roofing tile or shingles).

Put commingled material out on swale, only if you do not have access to an alley, by 7 a.m. on Monday of your scheduled pick-up week. All material must be placed at the curb only if no alley access is available for collection. Waste Pro employees will not come onto your private property.

 
Acceptable Commingled Material (Maximum of 4 cubic yards per pick-up)

One cubic yard is the size of a washing machine.

Brush:
Tree branches, palm fronds and shrubbery, cut to a maximum of four feet in length. Material must be piled neatly.

Household Items:

Old furniture: Box springs, mattresses, sofas, carpeting,
carpet padding, patio furniture, wood, metal, or barbeque grill
(no propane tanks).


White Goods:



Dishwasher, washer, dryer, stove, water heater, refrigerator (door must be removed) and air conditioners.


Loose materials:
Magazines, flower pots, etc., can be set out in plastic bags or bundled together. Cardboard boxes are not acceptable containers. If old garbage cans or other solid containers are used, they will be taken and NOT REPLACED.

Where to Take Prohibited Material

Any liquids (fuel, paint, oil, etc.), automotive/boat components, explosives, yard waste, hazardous waste, radioactive material, roofing materials, and construction/demolition debris are not acceptable.

Residents wishing to dispose of rocks, dirt and construction debris can bring these materials to the Broward County Landfill, 7101 SW 205 Avenue. There is a fee to dispose of these materials. Call 954-680-0087 for directions and fees.

Eco Waste does accept construction and demolition debris and commercial waste for a fee. Call them at 954-989-9715 for rates.

Call animal control at 954-357-1313 ext. 400 to report dead animals. 

Used tires, paint, auto fluids, pool chemicals, paint thinners, pesticides, insecticides, oven & drain cleaners, mercury, fertilizers, solvents, automobile, boat and Ni-cad (button) batteries and used motor oil can be taken to the Broward County South Trash Transfer Station, 5601 W Hallandale Bch. Blvd., every Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 954-765-4999 for more information.
