1. Where should I report street lights that are not working?

To report a problem with street lights, contact Public Works at 954-967-4526 and give them information on the location and fault. If possible, you should include the number on the front of the street light column.

2. A traffic light is not working properly.

A. Call the Hollywood Police Department's (HPD’s) non-emergency number, 954-967-4357 for quicker response or call us at 954-967-4526. We will forward the information to HPD who will relay the information to the Broward County Engineering Division for repair.

3. A street or school zone sign is damaged, down or missing.

4. Where should I report graffiti?

Call us at or 954-967-4526 for graffiti on City property. For graffiti elsewhere, call HPD at 954-967-4357 or Code Enforcement at 954-967-3061.

5. My sidewalk needs to be repaired.

According to the Municipal Code of Ordinances, Chapter 155.30, property owners are responsible for the maintenance of sidewalks, swales and curbs that abut their properties. For more information regarding sidewalk repairs or replacement, and road construction, etc. contact the Engineering Division at 954-921-3900.

6. There is a pothole in the road or alley.

Call us at 954-967-4223 or 954-967-4526 with the information and the repair will be scheduled.

7. Does the City maintain trees in the swale?

Trees in swales are the responsibility of the abutting property owner. However, if the branches become hazardous (e.g. hang too low over the sidewalk or road) we will trim the branches.

8. I would like a tree removed from my property or the swale.

Contact the Planning and Development Services Department at 954-921-3471.

9. There is a branch in the road - there is a broken branch hanging from a tree - a tree is down or is in danger of falling down
