Neighborhood Capital Improvement Initiative Program
PROGRAM
ELIGIBILITY:
Applicant must be a neighborhood-based group that represents a defined area in the City of Hollywood. Evidence
of such designation must be attached with this application along with a
letter from applicant’s president/board
authorizing the application and designating the applicant to act with authority.
APPLICATION GUIDELINES FOR GRANT CONSIDERATION:
- A Letter of Support must be obtained from each adjacent property owner. Letters of
Support are required for all capital improvement projects.
- Letter of Support from Applicant board members.
- The Maintenance Agreement must be completed, signed and submitted with the application.

- Financial proof of the Applicant’s ability to provide matching funds including:
- Letter of Intent from private corporations or public entities outlining the
organization’s contribution of cash, materials/equipment or professional services, and/or
- Applicant’s current bank statement
- If funds are not currently available in the Applicant’ s bank account, a fundraising plan outlining
how the Applicant will generate the necessary capital must be submitted with the application. The plan
should outline the type of fundraiser, timeframe, number of events and amount of funds expected to be
raised by the Applicant.

is accepted by the City.
50/50 SIDEWALK PLAN
The 50/50
sidewalk Plan is a partnership between the City and the property owners'
to alleviate the burden to repair or replace damaged sidewalks.
In low-moderate income areas, the City
of Hollywood Department of Housing and Community Redevelopment may be
able to pay for the owners ½ share of the cost of the sidewalk.
