Thank you for your interest in the City of Hollywood's Housing
Rehabilitation Program.Based on the loss of funding through the SHIP
Program and reduced Program Income, the Rehabilitation Program has been
modified.
Beginning Summer of 2011, households that have previously applied to the Program will be
contacted to determine eligibility for assistance. New applications will also be welcomed at
that time.
The maximum loan amounts for eligible repair items will be up to $40,000 for Structural
and System Repairs and $15,000 for Property Standard loans. Some exceptions may be granted
for extenuating circumstances (health and safety related). All Program participants must
complete a Rehabilitation and Housing Counseling session with a HUD Certified Housing
Counselor prior to loan origination.
The City of Hollywood will provide a 0% interest Deferred loan
(second mortgage) for Area Medium Incomes (A.M.I.) between 0%-50% and a
3% interest Deferred loan for A.M.I.'s between 51%-80%. Please see

The loan from the City of Hollywood must be repaid when any of the
following changes take place:
(1) The borrower sells, transfers, leases or disposes of the
assisted unit (by sale, transfer, bankruptcy or foreclosure, etc.);
(2) the borrower no longer occupies the unit as their principal
residence; or (3) the borrower dies, or if a married couple, the
survivor dies, or (4) may become due upon refinance.
