Gravity System Condition Assessment and Renewal and Replacement (Inflow/Infiltration - I/I) Program - Clean Water State Revolving Fund, Drinking Water State Revolving Fund $7,762,791
This project consists of a comprehensive evaluation of the existing gravity sewer system gear towards the full rehabilitation of all the components of the system (pipelines, laterals, and manholes). The implementation of the program will include point repairs, lining of sewer pipelines using either the fold-n-form method or the cure-in-place method, and manholes lining and/or replacement. The rehabilitation efforts is a City Wide program as the Department of Public Utilities plans to tackle sewer lines within most of the City districts. The successful implementation of the I/I program will also free-up existing sewer treatment capacity at the COH Southern Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant.

2009 AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA)

On Friday, February 13, 2009, the House of Representatives and Senate approved the conference report for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.  On February 17th, 2009, President Barack Obama signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.  This billion dollar measure is the single largest infusion of spending and tax cuts into the economy in American history.  The Act makes supplemental appropriations for job preservation and creation, infrastructure investment, energy efficiency and science, assistance to the unemployed, and State and local fiscal stabilization.  For more information on programs funded by the ARRA or to search for ARRA opportunities, please visit the sites below.
