Hollywood Beach visitors are looking forward to enjoying a "Cheeseburger in Paradise!"
The luxurious, 349-room Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort is planned for a five-acre site between Johnson and Michigan streets. The resort will include a 1056 space parking garage with 600 public parking spaces, convention and ballroom space, retail stores, restaurants, full-service spa and fitness center, a dual lane wave rider, and other amenities. Plans also include a 1,600-square-foot Landshark Bar and Grill on the Intracoastal Waterway featuring dock space for boat access.

The project is designed to be a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver resort, a new boat dock with eco-tours along the Intracoastal, and more entertainment and outdoor seating at the beach theater.

Construction on the project began in July 2013 and is anticipated to take approximately 2 years to complete.   The Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort promises to bring "Changes in Latitudes and Changes in Attitude" along central Hollywood Beach.

The project received final approval from the City Commission (which also serves as the CRA Board) at a special joint meeting held on May 29, 2013.  During this meeting, the Commission approved an Amended and Restated Ground Lease and Amended and Restated CRA Compensated Funding Agreement that included the addition of Starwood Capital into the project.
