Parks, Recreation, & Cultural Arts
The Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts' purpose is to acquire, develop, program and maintain city park facilities. The Department plans, coordinates and implements a multitude of recreation services, concerts and events.

The Department’s philosophy is reflected in our mission statement - "We provide and promote well maintained quality parks, programs and events that are fun, innovative, enriching, environmentally sound and responsive to our diverse community in a fiscally responsible manner."

Recreation Opportunities
Recreation and open space lands located within the City of Hollywood offer a diverse range of facilities, activities and amenities. The City of Hollywood maintains approximately 785 acres of park and open space.

The park system is comprised 62 parks and facilities including 46 playgrounds, 11 community centers, one tennis center, one community pool, three golf courses and six athletic facilities, including baseball, softball, football and soccer fields.

Available Programs
Within those facilities hundreds of programming hours include, over 150 cultural programs including arts / dance, after-school, summer and adult leaning programs, senior socials and so much more.
