Utility Billing & Customer Service

Welcome to the Utility Billing & Customer Service Center, your one-stop shop for paying your City of Hollywood utility bill, viewing utility service rates, registering for utility payment-related services, and much more.

Establishing New Utility Service
First, determine if your service address is served by the City of Hollywood Public Utilities by calling customer service at  954-921-3938.  Some Hollywood addresses are in the Broward or Davie service areas, in which case properties may receive water service from one utility provider and sewer from another provider.

New utility accounts can be opened in person at City Hall, 2600 Hollywood Blvd, Room 103. Requirements include:
           

  • A copy of your fully executed lease (if you are renting) or closing documents (if you are the new property owner)
  • A state issued photo ID
  • The appropriate deposit. The City's Municipal Ordinance requires all new customers to prepay their deposit.

Out of State or Cannot Stop By

If you are the property owner and in the event you are out of state or cannot visit our office in person, the Utility Service Application can be printed and mailed with the appropriate documentation and deposit as described to:

Deposit Policy
Customers are required to pay a utility service deposit upon opening a utility account. View the deposit rate sheet to determine your deposit amount.
 
Repeated delinquency or multiple returned checks may result in an additional deposit being required. The City pays interest on your deposit annually.

Deposits are refunded after 23 months of continuous service to owner occupied Single-Family, Duplex, or Triplex residential customers, provided the customer's account has remained in good credit standing.

When an account is closed, the deposit is either applied toward any outstanding balances remaining on the account or refunded.
