Vacation Rental License
The City of Hollywood has approved new regulations for properties being used as vacation rentals. Vacation rentals are classified as any individually or collectively owned single family house or dwelling unit that is also a Transient Public Lodging Establishment and is located in an area zoned RS and RM. Transient Public Lodging Establishments are rented to guests more than three times a year for periods of less than 30 days. These properties are required to have a Vacation Rental License.

Fees
The application fee is $200 for the initial term which will run from February 1 – September 30, 2016. Thereafter the annual fee is $150, which will run from October 1 – September 30.

The Vacation Rental License is only required for properties that are zoned RS and RM.  You can check your property's zoning by visiting the Broward County Property Appraiser's website.

 Accepting Applications for Vacation Rentals License Renewals and New Licenses
New Term Begins October 1, 2016
 

The annual renewal period to register to renew a Vacation Rental license is fast approaching.  For each vacation rental, the annual renewal term runs from October 1 to September 30. The fee to renew a license is $150. 00.

Also being accepted are applications for new Vacation Rental Licenses that would become effective October 1, 2016.  The fee for the initial term is $200.00.  Residential properties must meet the requirements of Hollywood’s Code to renew or obtain a new Vacation Rental License.
