Beach Theatre

Located on the Hollywood Broadwalk and Beach, the Hollywood Beach Theatre  is the only seaside venue of its kind in Broward County. This unique facility includes seating for 500. During performances the Broadwalk in front of the theater becomes a spacious under the stars dance floor for up to 100. A variety of  Broadwalk restaurants feature light meals to fine dining, many al fresco. The Theatre is currently home to three musical series presented Monday to Wednesday evenings from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m., year-round, weather permitting. Broadwalk Friday Fest cultural performances are also held here the second and fourth Fridays from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. All are free.
 
Beach Paddleball Courts

The six Garfield Street Historic paddleball courts have been repaired and renovated so that the entire recreational activity center of the courts, five-story  garage, Charnow Park and Garfield Community Center form an attractive complex inviting visitors and residents to  the beachside site.  Several paddleball tournaments are held throughout the year.

Charnow Park has been totally transformed with four new picnic pavilions, a new entertainment pavilion and pergola-shaded seating areas.  Two new playgrounds for different age groups offer innovative play equipment with an artificial soft grass safety surface underfoot.  Custom-designed, colored concrete enhances the interactive water fountain. The site has been fully landscaped with native materials and utilizes special turtle-friendly lighting. Blue and sand-colored shell pavers as opposed to asphalt and the use of native landscaping have increased the park's green footprint. Scheduled for August opening.
 
Dog Beach of Hollywood
Hollywood Beach between Pershing & Custer Streets

Dog Beach of Hollywood has permanent status and is a partnership between the organization and the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts Department. 

Currently open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 4 pm to 8 p.m. Daylight Savings Time, the area is 100-yards long.
Passes are available on site or at Hollywood Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts Office, 1405 S. 28th Avenue. 954-921-3404.

Garfield Community Center

This newly-renovated community center overlooks the Broadwalk with spectacular views of the ocean and Charnow Park.  The two-story structure is approximately 5,000 square feet.  The first floor contains public restrooms, a paddleball pro-shop, storage for tables and chairs and a vending machine area.  The second floor houses an elegant banquet hall, private restrooms, an office, a warming kitchen and a scenic wrap-around balcony.  The center utilizes special tinted glass to help decrease electricity needed for cooling.  The facility is available for rental by calling 954-921-3600. Scheduled for August opening.
 
Harry Berry Park

A quiet passive park nestled in the south Hollywood Beach community with picnic tables, benches, pavilion, recently resurfaced playground with shade structure, a climbing wall and swings for the enjoyment of visitors to this coastal park, located 1/2 block from the beach area.
 
Hollywood Broadwalk Hollywood Beach & Broadwalk

Named one of America's top ten nostalgic promenades by USA Today, the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk is more than 2 miles long, featuring a brick-lined pedestrian promenade that combines dramatic coastal views of its award-winning Blue Wave beach.  The nostalgic feel of a Main Street thoroughfare features boutique hotels, charming shops and seaside cafes for oceanfront dining.  For sun and swim and active recreation suggestions, visit

Hollywood Beach Culture & Community Center

Located on south A1A, this beachfront adult facility provides classes, events, activities and meeting rooms for the community. In addition, the facility which has a large auditorium with stage is available for weekend rentals for weddings, banquets, receptions and other functions. This center is home base for Hollywood's Science & Adventure Camp (S.E.A. Camp) and host classes from fitness to art and games.

A reading center operated by the Broward Public Library System is open Monday - Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm

A beachfront park in Hollywood's South Beach area. Keating's shade trees provide a welcome respite from the South Florida sun for families enjoying the beach. Park amenities include benches, a children's slide and restrooms.
