Purpose:
It is the intent that this document together with the standard details and the City Of Hollywood code of ordinances shall be applicable in all cases where the utilities to be constructed shall be owned and/or operated and maintained by the City Of Hollywood. Where a conflict exists in the requirements set forth here-in and any referenced standard, specification or test method, the requirements set forth here-in shall prevail. Where a conflict exist in the requirements of state agency or local government the more stringent shall prevail.
Policy for City Of Hollywood Acceptance Of Water And Sewage Facilities:
The Public Utilities Department for the City Of Hollywood, Florida will accept water and sewer facilities constructed by developers and others for ownership, operations and maintenance under the following conditions:
- It is in the best interest of the citizens of Hollywood.
- It will improve the existing water & sewer system.
- It will provide service to the proposed project and other existing dwellings and/or commercial properties without central water or sewage service available.
- It will be constructed in public right of way or dedicated easements.
- It will have the potential to connect and provide service to future users.
- It will comply with the City Of Hollywood code of ordinances and all the appropriate regulatory agencies.
- That the facilities will be constructed in accordance with the City Of Hollywood's Public Utilities Department standards and specifications.
- All construction shall be inspected, tested and approved by the Public Utilities Department prior to acceptance.
- Prior to the start of any construction, developers/others proposing to construct/install facilities which will be conveyed to the city must enter into an agreement with the city which establishes the terms and conditions.
