WWTP Tour - Reclaimed Water

The City of Hollywood operates a 4 MGD effluent reuse system to serve a portion of South Broward County. The reuse treatment and pumping facilities are located at the Southern Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant. The effluent reuse treatment facility is a tertiary type wastewater treatment plant which furthur processes the wastewater effluent into a usable irrigation quality water. This includes an 8 MGD tertiary filter system, high level disinfection (chlorination) and contact tanks, and a storage and pumping system to provide the reclaimed water to the supply network.
