Finished Water Storage

The plant has 11-million gallons of on-site storage capacity, plus two 1-million gallon elevated storage tanks located out in the City. This storage provides a buffer to handle sudden demands on the system, like in the morning when everyone wakes up and takes a shower or bath. In addition, eight large "high-service pumps" provide the driving force for the water into the distribution system, ensuring water is available when you turn on the tap.
