The City has embarked upon a robust Water and Sewer Capital Improvement Program (CIP) that will result in an investment of approximately $200 million over the next five years. The City Commission unanimously approved
the capital funding program for the renewal and replacement of our aging water and sewer infrastructure. It will include the replacement of deteriorated water pipelines, lining and repairs to sewer collection pipes, water and wastewater treatment works upgrades and the expansion of our reuse distribution system. The program will also include enhancements to our water conservation initiatives.
Ensuring the safety and reliability of water and wastewater services is a priority of the City’s Department of Public Utilities. While we recognized that there will be some inconveniences during construction, our goal is to reach out to the community through various mediums so that our residents are well informed about activities that may impact their neighborhoods.
