Film permits are required for film, video or still photography shoots in public right-of-way or on public property in the City of Hollywood. The Communications Division issues the permit and coordinates any City services that may be needed. All applicants are required to pay fees for film permits in the City of Hollywood. The fees consist of:

1. Application Processing Fee
2. Parking Fees
3. Police Services Fees
4. Generator Permits
5. City Park usage Fees

• Completed film permit application which includes the following:
• Dates
• Times
• Parking requirements (number and types of vehicles)
• Size of cast and crew
• Description of scenes
• Approximate budget
   
• Location maps may be requested depending on the project.

• If the location is in a neighborhood or near businesses, we request that you distribute a notification letter to all affected by the shoot as far in advance as possible.

• The permit must be signed by an authorized representative of your company.

• When all of the above requirements are met, a film permit can be issued within 4 business days; all production projects will require a meeting between a production representative and various City Departments prior to issuing a permit.

• A complete film permit application and Certificate of Insurance should be faxed  to 954-921-3544 (Communications Division) a minimum of five working days before the scheduled shoot date(s).
